AHMAD SHAKIR BIN AHMAD UBAIDAH, 46, holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Deakin University, Australia and Master’s Degree of Economics majoring in Finance from International Islamic University, Malaysia. He has also obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce majoring in Accounting and Finance from Monash University, Australia. He is also a Chartered Accountant with Malaysian Institute of Accountants and has completed CPA Program of CPA Australia.
Ahmad Shakir has extensive work experience specifically in Finance and Accounting with previous held key positions in various companies such as Ahmad & Co, Chartered Accountants, Pantai Fomema Group, Ninebio Sdn Bhd, Chesapeake Plc,TM International Berhad and Telekom Malaysia Berhad. He first joined KOPETRO as Chief Financial Officer in April 2013 and stayed until April 2015. He re-joined KOPETRO as Chief Executive Officer on 15 April 2019.
He is driven to develop KOPETRO into a strong and sustainable cooperative both at the domestic and international levels. Under his leadership, KOPETRO will always be striving for continuous improvement for a better future.
